The detection of water distribution system leaks involves various means, such as using leak-detection equipment that can identify the sound of water escaping from a pipe; these efficient devices may include pinpoint devices that listen to valves and hydrants, or geophones, which listen on the ground directly.

Large leaks do not necessarily result in a high volume of lost water, especially if water reaches the surface where it is easily detected, isolated, and repaired. However, undetected or hidden leaks, even in the tiniest amounts, can lead to a considerable amount of water loss since they can persist for a long time.

Detecting and repairing leaks of any size is our objective. Properties are susceptible to water damage, and we aim to prevent that from occurring.
